An Amazing Opportunity For Our Older Boys

We wanted to share about an amazing opportunity we have found for some of our older boys. There is a program near Cap Haitian that is offering short concise training opportunities through a trade school in Welding, Plumbing, Mechanics or Electrician skills. We have sent our first young man, a boy from our Good Shepherd’s Children’s Village. Some of you may remember him, his name is Jeffly. He has just finished his training in Welding. There are three more boys we would like to send, one at a time to this school.

Here are Jeffly’s comments on his experience;

My name is Jeffly, I live in Marose, Haiti. The Good Shepherd Mission chose to send me to a trade school at a place called Limonade, a town about 150 kilometers from where I live, so that I could learn welding. The experience was really good because the course was 20% theory and 80% practical application. I understood the course and I really learned everything they taught.

I did not expect such a great opportunity to be given to me, and I am very blessed to have this privilege. This will really be useful to me and my life in the future, and it will be so useful to my community, and to my church.

I really thank you pastor Mike for what he and his team are doing for our country and for the youth in this mission. The training and the help to find jobs is so important for the people to find money for their daily needs, and it also helps the community.

I also thank you for so many children you are helping to grow up in the orphanage, and go to school. This is an important witness before God and before the entire population of our country, because helping children in orphanages, and schools, and helping young people who are helpless means a lot to us.

I thank every collaborator who gives a hand to help this work go even further. I am very happy for what they are doing. May God continue to bless them and give them more money to continue to help us to find a better direction.

Thank you and bless you in the name of Jesus, Jeffly

Please join us in praying for these young men, that they acquire the skills to change their lives and help their future families and their church and community. Thank you for partnering with us helping to change lives in Haiti.

Blessings,

chris
