2025 End of Year Recap

Dear Friends,
Most people would not hesitate to agree that this has been a very difficult year to work in Haiti. Political corruption, economic depression, gang violence, and a host of other severe complications make it seem almost impossible to do anything other than hunker down and attempt to survive.
But the mission in Haiti is doing far more than just surviving. In many ways, it is thriving at a level that is “far more than we could have ever hoped or imagined.”
The Good Shepherd Children’s Village is safe, and the children are well fed, well dressed, and well cared for. They are attending school, church, youth group, and Bible study.
The primary and secondary schools remain open and are operating at a higher level of academic and spiritual excellence than in previous years.
The Life-Giving Churches are growing in attendance every week. The love, acceptance, and forgiveness demonstrated by our “servant leaders” provide clear evidence that the Life-Giving message is taking root within them, rather than becoming merely more knowledge to acquire. The Pass Rien, Poteau, and Marose churches have surpassed 600 in weekly attendance, and the other churches are growing as well. While we are not measuring impact solely by numbers, in such harsh times—when many are concerned about travel of any kind and many larger, more established churches are shrinking rapidly—this growth is a very encouraging sign.
The Life-Giving School of Ministry is also transforming the culture of every village in which we minister and is preparing us to begin planting even more Life-Giving Churches.

3 significant Highlights from this year
1. Poor children’s Summer Camp
This summer, each of our 11 Life-Giving Churches invited the poorest children in their communities to attend a summer camp experience that included food, fun, games, crafts, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over 3,000 children experienced the time of their lives. Many of these children, along with numerous family members, became new Christians as a result of the love and generosity they received.

2. Container Filled with Medical and Relief Supplies
With special assistance from the government of Haiti, Fraser Valley Gleaners, Get Simple Box, countless others, and you, New Generation Haiti was able to send desperately needed supplies to support our hospital, orphanage, and mission in Haiti. The first of two 40-foot shipping containers is on its way as we speak.

3. Helicopter Rescue of Children from Bercy
New Generation Haiti assisted in the daring helicopter rescue of 46 orphans and staff members when a violent gang invaded their facility in Bercy, Haiti. Thanks to your prayers and support, we were able to transport these traumatized children by helicopter to the Good Shepherd Children’s Village, where they were safe and cared for until they could be relocated.

All of this is evidence of our powerful God, who is working with us and for us to bring the light of His salvation to a people severely oppressed by darkness.
So much of this has come through your fervent prayers and generous financial support. We know that times are not easy for many of you, yet you continue to advocate for the Good News to be delivered to the poor, the broken, and the lost in Haiti. And they are receiving it—and responding to it—in record numbers.
This is a year of deep appreciation and profound gratitude. Thank you.
